Style Math AI ("Style Math," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at stylemath.ai and the Style Math mobile application available on iOS and Android (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service.

This policy is drafted in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account using Google or Apple Sign-In, we receive the following from your identity provider:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile picture URL (if available)
  • Authentication provider identifier

We do not collect or store passwords. Authentication is handled entirely through Google or Apple's secure OAuth protocols.

2.2 Profile Information

During registration and profile setup, you may voluntarily provide:

  • Display name
  • Gender
  • Height and weight
  • Profile photograph
  • Body photograph (for AI styling accuracy)
  • Skin tone and body type (derived or self-reported)

2.3 Style & Usage Data

When you use the AI styling features, we collect:

  • Occasion and outfit selections (e.g., wedding, office, travel)
  • Style preferences (modesty level, tone, season, cultural filters)
  • Custom prompt text you provide for AI generation
  • Gallery interactions (favourites, albums, downloads)
  • Feedback on generated images

2.4 Device & Technical Information

We automatically collect certain device and technical information, including:

  • Device identifier (a unique ID generated for your device)
  • Device type, platform, and operating system version
  • App version
  • IP address
  • User agent string

2.5 Payment Information

We do not directly collect or store credit card numbers, bank account details, or UPI IDs. All payment processing is handled by our third-party payment partners (see Section 5). We store only:

  • Transaction identifiers and status
  • Plan and subscription details
  • Payment method type (e.g., card, UPI) and last four digits (when provided by the payment gateway)
  • Transaction amounts and currency
  • Invoice records

2.6 Support & Feedback Data

When you contact support or submit feature requests, we collect the content of your messages, attached images (if any), and satisfaction ratings.

2.7 Consent Records

We maintain auditable records of the consents you grant or withdraw, including:

  • Terms of Service acceptance
  • Privacy Policy acknowledgment
  • AI photo analysis consent
  • Image storage consent
  • Marketing communications preference

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service: To create and manage your account, generate AI-styled outfit visualizations based on your photos and preferences, and maintain your personal gallery.
  • Personalization: To tailor style recommendations based on your body measurements, skin tone, and style preferences.
  • Payment Processing: To process subscriptions, top-ups, and in-app purchases, manage your credit wallet, and generate invoices.
  • Customer Support: To respond to help center tickets, feature requests, and feedback.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze aggregated usage patterns and improve our AI models, user experience, and feature offerings.
  • Security: To detect fraudulent activity, prevent abuse, and enforce device-level account policies.
  • Referral Programme: To manage referral codes, track eligible referrals, and distribute referral rewards.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

4. AI Processing & Image Data

Our core service involves AI-powered analysis and generation of styled outfit images. Here is how your image data is handled:

4.1 Photo Upload & Processing

  • Photos you upload are securely transferred to and stored in encrypted cloud storage.
  • Your photos are sent to our AI processing partners solely for the purpose of generating your styled outfit images.
  • We use AI to enhance styling prompts based on your profile data (gender, measurements, preferences) to improve generation quality.

4.2 AI Processing Partners

Image generation is performed by third-party AI model providers. Your photos are transmitted to these providers exclusively for generating your styled images. We require our AI partners to:

  • Process your data only for the purpose of fulfilling our service request.
  • Not retain your images beyond the time needed for processing.
  • Not use your images to train their own models without separate, explicit consent.
  • Maintain appropriate security measures.

4.3 Generated Images

AI-generated outfit images are stored in your personal gallery. You have full control to view, favourite, organize into albums, share via album sharing codes, download, or delete these images at any time.

4.4 Prompt Enhancement

We use AI language models to enhance and refine styling prompts derived from your selections. The context sent to these models includes your style preferences and body profile data (gender, height, weight) but does not include your name, email, or other directly identifying information.

5. Payment Processing

We use third-party payment processors to handle transactions, depending on your platform:

These providers independently handle your payment instrument details (card numbers, etc.). We never have access to your full payment credentials.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • AI Processing Partners: Your uploaded photos and style preferences are shared with our AI image generation partners solely to produce your styled outfit images.
  • AI Language Model Providers: Non-identifying profile attributes (gender, measurements, style selections) are shared with AI language model providers for prompt enhancement.
  • Payment Processors: Transaction data is shared with Apple and Google as necessary to process your payments.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Your data is stored and processed using secure cloud infrastructure providers.
  • Authentication Providers: Standard sign-in data exchange occurs with Google and Apple during account creation and login.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Album Sharing: If you share a gallery album, anyone with the share code can view the images in that album. You may revoke sharing at any time.

7. Data Storage & Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
  • Photos and files are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access controlled via time-limited, secure URLs.
  • Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage.
  • Sensitive credentials are stored as cryptographic hashes in our database.
  • Database access is restricted by role-based policies and network-level controls.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach as required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Specifically:

  • Account & Profile Data: Retained until you delete your account.
  • Generated Images & Gallery: Retained until you delete individual images or your account.
  • Transaction & Payment Records: Retained for a minimum of 8 years from the date of the transaction, as required under Indian tax and financial regulations.
  • Consent Records: Retained for audit purposes for the duration of your account and up to 3 years after account deletion.
  • Support Tickets: Retained for up to 2 years after resolution.
  • Device Information: Retained until you remove the device from your account or delete your account.

Upon account deletion, we initiate removal of your personal data from our active systems. Residual copies in backups are overwritten during the normal backup rotation cycle, typically within 90 days.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

9.1 For All Users

  • Access & Export: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. Use the data export feature in the app or contact us at info@stylemath.ai.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data through the app's account settings. You may cancel a pending deletion request before it is processed.
  • Rectification: You can update your profile information at any time through the app.
  • Consent Withdrawal: You can withdraw specific consents (e.g., marketing, image storage) through the app's consent management settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed prior to withdrawal.

9.2 For Users in India (DPDPA)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you additionally have the right to:

  • Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
  • Lodge a grievance with us using the contact details in Section 14.
  • Escalate unresolved grievances to the Data Protection Board of India.

9.3 For Users in the EEA / UK (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to:

  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement), consent (marketing, optional data processing), and legal obligations (financial record-keeping).

10. Analytics & Tracking

We use analytics tools in our mobile application to understand how users interact with the Service. This helps us improve features and user experience.

  • We track screen views and in-app events (e.g., style generation started, image saved).
  • We do not use advertising identifiers — ad ID collection and ad personalization are disabled.
  • We do not serve ads or use analytics for ad targeting.
  • Analytics data is associated with an anonymous device identifier, not your name or email.
  • Analytics collection is turned off upon logout.

Our website (stylemath.ai) is a static site and does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16 (or 18 in jurisdictions where higher age requirements apply). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 12. International Data Transfers

Style Math is operated from India. Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including locations where our cloud infrastructure and AI processing partners operate.

Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual data protection obligations with our service providers, to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection regardless of where it is processed.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Notify you through the app or via email for significant changes.
  • Request renewed consent where required by law.
